Preparing the Sequencing VM

Copy the royaltsinstaller_2.02.07.60519.msi to the machine and set the Exclusions as above.

Begin Sequencing

Launch Sequencer and Click Next until you get to the below screen

Step1

Personally I always select a custom install. This application is just a single MSI so you can browse to the MSI if you please. Click Next

Step1

Enter a name which adheres to your naming standards. Enter a Dummy folder for your Primary Virtual Application Directory. As seen in the screenshot. Click Next >

Step2

Launch the MSI and Click Next >

Step3

Click ‘I accept the term in the License Agreement’ and then Click Next >

Step4

Click Next >

Step5

Click Next >

Step6

You may select to check both File Type Associations. Personally, I wanted to keep the built Remote Desktop Connection as my RDP associated application so I only checked the top box (Royal TS Documents are used frequently with this product) and Click Next >

Step7

Click Next >

Step8

Click Install

Step9

Click Finish

Step11

Navigate to the footer bar, click on the license type. Enter the specific name the application is licensed to and the License Key you were provided. Click OK

Step12

You should receive confirmation that the license was verified. Click Ok

Step13

Navigate to File–>Options. As seen above, under general you should uncheck the option to Check for Updates. Click OK

Step14

You should navigate to the Check for Updates option on the Ribbon Menu under Help and right click. Select to Customize

Step15

Under the customize Ribbon column. Uncheck the Help checkbox and Click OK.

Note: With this option unchecked the user won’t have the option to Check for Updates, but they could theoretically go back into options and re-enable the Help menu and check that way. If you want to ensure they cannot Check for Updates, this can be set via a Group Policy which can be found HERE

Step16

You may also want to check the box to never show the Welcome tab again after you exit the application…That’s a personal preference.

Step23

Check the ‘I’m finished Installing’ Checkbox and Click Next >

Step17

Click Next>

Step18

Click Next >

Step19

Click ‘Stop Now’ and Click Next >

Step20

Click ‘Continue to modify package without saving using the package editor’ and Click Next >

Step21

Click Close

Step22

Enter a Description

Step23

Navigate to the Windows Installer folder and delete the cached MSI

Step24

Ensure the Advanced options are checked as above and Save your application and deploy to Test.

Step25

Application should launch, you should be able to create a new document and add and launch into connections.

Note: There’s various different plugins supported in Royal TS, if you’d like to add any of these you may add them during sequencing to your package or possibly deploy via Connection Group or as local installs.
