This morning I attempted to roll back from Citrix Receiver 3.2 to just the Online Plugin 12.3 and was met with an error:
“Citrix online plug-in Configuration Manager: No value could be found for (ClientHostedApps) that satisfies all lockdown requirements. The lockdown requirements in force may be conflicting.
“
I found an answer online suggesting to delete the registry key ClientHostedApps under:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Lockdown\Profiles\All Regions\Lockdow\Virtual Channels\Control and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Lockdown\Profiles\All Regions\Lockdown\Virtual Channels\Control
This did not fix my issue, in fact that registry was already removed from HKLM and didn’t appear in my HKCU. My issue was caused by some legacy registry being left behind by the receiver causing a conflict. When I removed the Citrix Reciever it cleared the registry in HKLM but not in my HKCU which isn’t all that shocking. So I went into HKCU\SOFTWARE\Citrix and removed the registry hives for ICA Client, Receiver and Dazzle. Performed a reboot because I always do that! Re-installed my older version of the Online Plug-in and Bada Bing. Back working. I’m guessing there’s a conflict with some of the saved user settings from the newer version that the older version does not like.
