With an OS Layer created. We can now create whatever Application Layers we want.

Step30

Navigate to System and Installation Machines and click to ‘Create Installation Machine’

Step31

Name your Installation Machine. Select your OS Layer and your Network Adapter and click the down arrow

Step32

Click Create Installation Machine

Step33

Now navigate to Layers, Application Layer and click ‘Create Layer’

Step34

Enter a Layer Name and a version. Click down arrow

Step35

Select the OS Layer and click the down arrow

Note: If you are going to support both 32-bit and 64-bit machines, you will need to create a 32-bit layer of the app and a 64-bit. You also need to create unique layers for different Operating Systems.

Step36

Click the Down arrow

When you’ve created more Application Layers, you can select any pre-reqs from the list of applications here so they are on the VM when you need to create the dependent applications layer.

Step37

You can upload an icon file or select from a default and then click the down arrow

Step38

Click Create Layer

Step39

Keep an eye on the tasks in the console, when you get the amber warning to tell you to install, go ahead and do that.

Step40

Open your VM, login, install the application, configure it and then reboot the VM

Step41

Go back to the console and click Finalize

Step42
