Unidesk with Hyper-V Setup Part 5

At this point, we create our collection and then create the desktop by selecting what layers we’d like to assign.

Browse to Desktops and click Create Collection

Enter a name for your collection, you can upload or select an icon from the defaults. Click the down arrow

Select a user you’d like to have access to the collection. Also select the Unidesk broker from the dropdown box

Select whether or not the desktop(s) should be Persistent or Non-persistent

Select the OS Layer and click down arrow

Click Create Collection

Go back to Desktop and click Create Desktop

Assign a group or person for the desktop. Select a user you’d like to create a desktop for, if it’s just one user. If you want to create multiple desktops for a group of people you could select an AD group. The click the down arrow

Select the host server, you can select how the desktop(s) will be named, if you’d like you can set a custom name yourself. Select the Virtual switch and click the down arrow

Select the Application Layers that you’d like to assign

Select the VM Settings and then click the down arrow

Select when the desktops can get updated, created etc. Click the down arrow

Click Create Desktop(s)

You can go back to tasks and monitor the console. When they have been created. They are ready! Go ahead to the Hyper-V Manager and try out your desktop or if you want, go to your RDS Site and login as one of the users. Pretty sweet, eh?
