Citrix XenApp

When attempting to install XenApp 7.8, the install failed:

Error1

I looked up the error online but couldn’t find anything that could get the install to complete.

The log showed this error:

Error Id: XDMI:EB44B36F

Exception:
Citrix.MetaInstaller.MetaInstallerException License Server configuration tool failed
       at Citrix.MetaInstaller.Server.Components.LicenseServerComponent.Configure(InstallationContext context)
       at Citrix.MetaInstaller.InstallationManager.ConfigureComponent(IInstallableComponent component, InstallationContext installContext)

I manually launched the License Configuration tool found under C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\LS\resources. It looked like an error was also present here.

Error2

It looked like it couldn’t use the default ports. Changing these ports and clicking configure didn’t seem to help either.

Solution: Uninstall the License Server and re-install it using a LOCAL admin account.

Citrix.MetaInstaller.MetaInstallerException License Server configuration tool failed,Error Id: XDMI:EB44B36F,License Server configuration tool failed,XenApp License Server Component Initialization Failed,XenApp License Server install failed
